PTCL making efforts to provide modern telecommunication services

Pin It KARACHI (August 13 2009): President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL), Walid Irshaid has said that the company making is efforts to provide most modern telecommunication services to its customers.
Speaking at two different meetings of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (Kati) on Wednesday, he said that PTCL has largest telecom infrastructure and state-of-art technology and committed to provide quality telecom sentries to the people.
He said that PTCL has recently introduced various services including Smart TV, DSL, Broadband facilities, VWLL phone, Internet via USB and simplification of documentation procedure etc.


He assures members of KCCI and Kati that all their complaints will be removed in shortest possible time. Walid Irshaid said that PTCL will soon introduce some more facilities to the customers. He said that arrangements are being made to implement a sharp vigilance to monitor staff performance and the one who performed well to stay in the company.


He invites PTCL customers to suggestion measures to improve its services. The company will not compromise on quality of services, he added He said PTCL have its network and infrastructure in every city, town and village in Pakistan, has a customer base of more then 5.4 million of persons.


Chairman sub-committee on telecommunications of Kati, Shahid Javed Qureshi said that Pakistan has achieved remarkable progress in the communication sector over the last several years. This is evident from the fact that today more than half of Pakistan's population has access to mobile phone. The use of inter-net and other communication network have been growing rapidly.


Chairman Kati, Mian Zahid Hussain said that local calls are free in many countries, PTCL has not only reduced its duration from five minutes to three minutes but it also charges every dialed number even it is not connected He said that Kati is willing to provide space to PTCL for setting up PTCL cell in order to facilitate corporate sector customers.
