Ufone brings yet another exciting service, SMS to Email for both GPRS and non-GPRS users, enabling you to stay updated with your official or personal emails all the time.


With this service you can receive your Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail (Premium Accounts) or other pop account emails on your handsets through SMS. You can view, reply to the emails, forward them and can also view the attachments (GPRS users only). Configure up to three different email accounts on your Ufone number.

Commands for ease of use:

-Unsubscribe SMS to Email: unsub
-View Email in inbox: V
-Compose New Email: NEW
-Delete an Email: DEL


All these commands will be sent to 437

The following commands will work only if the email is being viewed

-Reply to email: R
-Reply to All: RA
-Forward an Email: FWD
-View the Attachment: ATT

How to view emails in inbox?
Send ‘V’ to short code “437” and shall receive the following SMS

Reply with V1-V7 to view specific email

V1. Sub: Email Subject (Max 15 characters)
V2. Sub: Email Subject (Max 15 characters)
V3. Sub: Email Subject (Max 15 characters)
V4. Sub: Email Subject (Max 15 characters)
V5. Sub: Email Subject (Max 15 characters)
V6. Sub: Email Subject (Max 15 characters)
V7. Sub: Email Subject (Max 15 characters)


Send N for next page, P for previous page or send H for Help

Inbox can list only seven (7) emails at any one time.

How to view remaining text of email?
Once an email is received in any configured email account, user shall receive a SMS alert such as mentioned above. If the SMS alert lists incomplete text of the email, the user can reply with ‘M’ to view more text of that email and shall receive the following SMS:

Email Text Continued: (Remaining text of the email)

Reply with:

M for more (only available if more unviewed text exists)
ATT for Attachment (only available if attachment is present)
R to Reply
RA to Reply All
FWD to forward
DEL to Delete

How to access Help while viewing the email?
At any time during viewing the email, the user may reply to or send ‘H’ to 437 and receive the following SMS

Send:

V to 437 to View Emails in Inbox
NEW to 437 to compose New Email
DEL to 437 to Delete an email
ATT to view Attachment (only available if attachment is present)
R to Reply
RA to Reply to All
FWD to forward
ATT, R, RA, FWD will work when an email is being viewed only.

How to compose a new email?
Simply SMS ‘NEW’ to short code “437” and shall receive the following SMS

Cc:
Sub:
Text:


The above template will be received upon sending NEW to short code 437. User will need to forward the SMS using the forward function of his mobile phone to enter edit mode of the template. User shall enter data in the following format:

To: (the address of the recipient)
Cc: (the address of the recipient)
Sub: (the subject of the email)
Text: (the text of the email)


Once done, send the newly composed email to “437”

There is no limitation on the length of email text.


How to view attachments?
Once an email is received via SMS showing an attachment is present (ATT:Yes), users can reply to the SMS with ATT and will receive the following SMS

Reply with A1-A7 to view specific attachment

A1. Attachment Name (Max 15 characters)
A2. Attachment Name (Max 15 characters)
A3. Attachment Name (Max 15 characters)
A4. Attachment Name (Max 15 characters)
A5. Attachment Name (Max 15 characters)
A6. Attachment Name (Max 15 characters)
A7. Attachment Name (Max 15 characters)


Send N for next page, P for previous page Or send H for Help.

Only seven (7) attachments can be listed at any one time

Once user replies to the SMS with the specific attachment index i.e A1 for example, a WAP link will be pushed to him/her via SMS. The user can open the WAP link to view the attachment thereon. WAP link will only work for GPRS enabled handsets.

How to reply to an email?
Once an SMS alert is received or an email is being viewed, the user shall reply with ‘R’ to the same SMS and receive the following template bearing a unique reference code at the start of the msg. This reference code will be unique for every email to be replied to and should never be altered:

413 (Do not change)

To: (Recipient’s Email Address)
Att:Yes (Only if attachment is present)
Text:


User will need to forward the above SMS using the forward function of his mobile phone to enter edit mode of the template. User may change data for To: or Sub: fields and shall enter the text of the email in front of Email Text: field.

Sub: (the subject of the email)


How to use Reply All?
Once an SMS alert is received or an email is viewed, the user shall reply with ‘RA’ to the same SMS and receive the following template bearing a unique reference code at the start of the msg. This reference code will be unique for every email to be replied to and should never be altered:

To: (Recipient’s Email Address)
Cc: (the address of the recipient)
Att:Yes (Only if attachment is present)
Sub: (Subject of the Email)
Text:


User will need to forward the above SMS using the forward function of his mobile phone to enter edit mode of the template. User may change data for To:, Cc: or Sub: fields and shall enter the text of the email in front of Email Text: field.

How to forward an email?
Once an SMS alert is received or an email is viewed, the user shall reply with ‘FWD’ to the same SMS and receive the following template bearing a unique reference code at the start of the msg. This reference code will be unique for every email intended to be forwarded to and should never be altered:

User will need to forward the above SMS using the forward function of his mobile phone to enter edit mode of the template. User shall enter data in to the below fields.

413 (Do not change)

To: (the address of the recipient)
Cc: (the address of the recipient)
Sub: (the subject of the email)
Text: (the text of the email)


There is no limitation on the length of email text.

Once done, the user shall send the email to “437”

All previous text of the email shall be concatenated with the new text entered above and sent to the recipients.


How to delete an email?
Send “DEL” to short code “437” and receive the following SMS

Reply with D1-D7 to delete specific email

D3. Sub: Email Subject (Max 15 characters)
D4. Sub: Email Subject (Max 15 characters)

Only seven (7) emails can be viewed for deletion at any one time

Upon deleting an email, user shall receive an SMS confirming the deleting of that specific email from Ufone mail inbox.

Each night user will receive status of his inbox via SMS from Short code 438. The following message will be received by user:

“You have XX no of emails in your account currently”.


Note:

-Regular GPRS charges shall apply for all GPRS access.
-Maximum number of email count for a single SMS to Email Service account is forty (40) and ----maximum size that can be reached is 2MB
-Attachments can be viewed only in .txt & .jpg formats
-19.5% FED on usage and 10% withholding tax at recharge or bill applies
