With Phonebook Saver, now you can retrieve all your contact numbers instantly whenever you lose them. So go on and create your personal Phonebook Saver account and never lose a contact again.



Phonebook Saver is available in GPRS, SMS and Web versions.

Phonebook Saver Web Interface:

The Web interface allows you to access your stored Contacts, SMS and Calendar events in a secure online environment. Now get your hands on exciting new features like back up and restoring vital text message communications and much more.

To get register simply send "sub" to 400 if you are already registered just send "pass" to 400 to get your password.

For using GPRS version:

You need the following:
-Sync enabled handset
-GPRS compatible handset
-Subscription to Ufone GPRS service
-GPRS settings for handset


You can get GPRS subscription and your handset settings by;
-Sending your phone’s model number in an SMS to 222
Example: K750i or 6600 or L6 etc
-Or calling our Call Center at 333
-Or visiting our Customer Services Centers


This is how it works
-To subscribe to Phonebook Saver, write an SMS, Sub and send it to 400.
Example: Sub 6230 or Sub K750i or Sub L6 etc.
-You will receive an SMS inquiring about your connection type. Reply with 1 (for pre paid) or 2 (for post paid).
-If your mobile phone supports automatic installation, service settings will be sent to your phone directly. Save these settings to start using this service. If asked for a PIN, enter 1234.
-If your mobile phone does not support automatic installation, you will receive service settings in an SMS. You will have to manually configure these settings on your phone.
-A new profile ‘PB Saver’ will be created in the Sync menu on your phone.
-Click on ‘PB Saver’ and Synchronize to store all your contacts in your personal Phonebook Saver account.
-You will receive a summary of contacts stored in your Phonebook Saver account through an SMS.


For using SMS version:

All you need is a handset that supports SMS.

This is how it works
-Write SUB in an SMS and send to 400.
-You will receive a confirmation message of your subscription.
-You will also receive a help message to assist you in using this service:
-Ad To add a contact to Phonebook Saver
-Get To retrieve a single saved contact
-Get All To retrieve all saved contacts
-Del To delete a single saved contact

Alternatively, you can also add contacts to your Phonebook Saver account by sending a contact in the form of a business card to 400.

Q. Can anyone else view my contacts?
A. No one will be able to view your contacts, except you.

Q. I am a Phonebook Saver subscriber and my phone is lost/broken. How will I retrieve my contacts?
A. For GPRS version:
Send an SMS Set to 400 to get Phonebook Saver settings on your new mobile phone. Click on ‘PB Saver’ in the Sync menu on your phone and Synchronise to restore all your lost contacts.
For SMS version:
Send an SMS Get All to 400. All your lost contacts will be sent to you through SMS.

Q. I have accidentally deleted some contacts! Can I retrieve them?
A. Yes! You only have to send an SMS Res to 400. All deleted contacts within past 30 days will be restored. Then,
For GPRS version:
Click on ‘PB Saver’ in the Sync menu on your phone and Synchronise to restore your contacts in your Phonebook Saver account. You will have to Synchronise again to retrieve all restored contacts on your phone.
For SMS version:
Send an SMS Get to 400. The deleted contact will be retrieved on your phone through SMS.

Q. If my contacts are saved in SIM memory instead of Phone memory, will Phonebook Saver work?
A. No. Contacts must be saved on phone memory for Phonebook Saver service to work. If you have your contacts saved on SIM, just copy them to phone memory to avail this service.

Q. Why did I receive an SMS saying “Your Phonebook Saver service is temporarily blocked”?
A. On 1st of every month, Rs.20 is deducted as subscription fee from your account. If you do not have sufficient balance, your Phonebook Saver service will be temporarily blocked. Your contacts will remain saved for 30 days. Please recharge your account if you wish to retain your saved contacts and continue using this service.

Q. Can I save multiple contacts in a single step?
A. Yes, you can save multiple contacts at the same time.
For GPRS version:
Just click on ‘PB Saver’ and Synchronise to store all your contacts simultaneously.
For SMS version:
Just follow this format while writing an SMS and send it to 400.
